What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is defined as the awareness that comes when we direct our full attention deliberately in the present moment and don’t engage judgement.
Mindfulness is a technique and it is associated with many health benefits such as creating a positive mindset and attributing to raised self esteem and self-acceptance.
Mindfulness can be used formally as a daily practice or informally as mindful living. Been mindful in this way takes us off ‘auto-pilot’ and focuses us back to the present moment.
How does Mindfulness work?
The tendency in our busy lives is to put all our attention on thoughts that are not associated with the present moment. In doing this we miss the magic of the present moments, sights, sounds seasons and totally lose the connection of where life is. At Cheeki Zen we develop three characteristics of mindfulness to enhance your secure non-reactive attention.

The benefits of using mindfulness and enhancing mental health is well documented. Scientists have found that mindfulness is associated with changes in the brain as well as physiological altering stress responses.
